Kathy Blackwell Manager of Equity Projects
Kathy Blackwell is an experienced equity professional with more than 12 years experience in the corporate environment specializing in the areas of stock plan administration and executive and equity compensation. She has experience administering, as well as designing, equity compensation plans.
In 2007, she joined FRS Equity Strategies as a Sr. Equity Consultant. While her primary focus is FAS 123(R) analysis, she is also contributing to development of our CEP courses.
Prior to FRS Equity Strategies, she managed the internal equity compensation function at Charles Schwab. Like most equity professionals, Ms. Blackwell’s role was multi-functional which allowed her to develop expertise in compensation, corporate and securities law, tax, accounting, and human resources. Prior to her experience in equity compensation, Ms. Blackwell worked as a product manager in financial services.
Ms. Blackwell has extensive knowledge of Computershare’s Express Options application and is quickly becoming familiar with E*Trade’s Equity Edge, EASi’s EMS, and eProsper’s CapMx.
She is a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals.
Ms. Blackwell received her MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. She earned her Certified Equity Professional designation in June 2000.
